Barack Obama: An Autopsy

After eight years of Ronnie, the mood of the American masses is to expand the goodies of the welfare-warfare state (though not to increase taxes to pay for these goodies), to swagger abroad and be very tough with nations that can’t fight back, and to crack down on the liberties of groups they don’t like or whose values or culture they disagree with.

As he rides off into retirement, glowing with the love of the American public, leaving his odious legacy behind, one wonders what this hallowed dimwit might possibly do in retirement that could be at all worthy of the rest of his political career. What very last triumph are we supposed to “win for the Gipper”?

– Murray Rothbard, “Ronald Reagan: An Autopsy“, March 1989

A full month has passed since the 44th President of the United Stated of America, Barack Hussein Obama II, has stepped down from the highest office in the land. The fawning media has dutifully reported on the details of his family vacation at his billionaire buddy Richard Branson’s private Caribbean island, Necker Island. While there seems to be a big market for pictures of Barack Obama learning to kite surf, as well as gossip on Trump and Russian prostitutes, how many journalists have taken this opportunity to step back and critically examine the Obama years?

The War for America’s Soul: Trump vs. The Deep State

Today’s ceremony, however, has very special meaning because today, we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another or from one party to another, but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C. and giving it back to you, the people…

We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital, and in every hall of power. From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land. From this day forward, it’s going to be only America first, America first.
– Donald J. Trump, Inauguration Speech (January 20, 2017)

The day has come. In a stranger-than-fiction turn of events, Donald Trump has ascended to the highest office in the land. Before ever taking office and making his first decisions as an elected official, President-elect Trump’s sharp tongue and hard-hitting style, if not his genuine desire to ail what he sees as America’s gravest illnesses brought on by decades of elite rule, have gotten him ensnared in battles-to-the-death with powerful adversaries that will continue to haunt him for years into his presidency.

Whose Lives Matters?

You can go a long way in this country, killing Black folk. Young males especially.

If [they] were killing white women, black children, tourists… One white ex-cheerleader tourist missing in Aruba…

Trouble is, this ain’t Aruba, bitch.

You think that if 300 white people were killed in this city every year, they wouldn’t send the 82nd Airborne? Negro, please.

The Huddled Masses Yearning to Breathe Free

Give me your tired, your poor,
your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
the wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

-“The New Colossus,” by Emma Lazarus in 1883,
on the plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty

We have heard of wars and rumors of wars since biblical times, and Matthew tells us that we should not be troubled as all these things must come to pass. This adage remains true today.

One of the biggest stories in the past few years has been the exploding refugee crisis. In 2014 the UN had counted 51.2 million worldwide refugees, asylum seekers and internally displaced people within their own countries. That’s more than the population of Spain. And the numbers are going in the wrong direction. Continue reading “The Huddled Masses Yearning to Breathe Free”

Leaks, Creeps, and Dirty Tricks: Interrupting the Media Narrative

A dead man can’t leak stuff.
This guy’s a traitor, he’s treasonous,
and he has broken every law of the United States.
And I’m not for the death penalty, so…
there’s only one way to do it:
illegally shoot the son of a bitch.
– Pundit Bob Beckel on Wikileaks’ Julian Assange, December 2010

Early in the morning of July 8, 2016, 27 year old Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich was fatally shot twice in the back in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. Police claim it was a robbery gone wrong although the robber did not do a very good job as Rich’s wallet, phone, and belongings were all still with him. When An Unstoppable Clown Car Meets The Immutable New World Order

Halfway around the world, we are engaged in a great struggle
in the skies and on the seas and sands.
We know why we’re there: We are Americans,
part of something larger than ourselves…

What is at stake is more than one small country;
it is a big idea: a new world order, where diverse nations are drawn together
in common cause to achieve the universal aspirations of mankind:
peace and security, freedom, and the rule of law.

– George H. W. Bush, State of the Union Address (January 29, 1991)

The great battle of our day will not unfold in distant skies and sands. No, the greatest threat to the new world order is home-bred. After decades of falling living standards, de-industrialization and offshoring, mass unemployment and broken promises, the common people are mad as hell. A part of these angry, disenfranchised people in America came together over the last year to combat the new world order’s globalist agenda that has been failing them; the weapon they are creating is not a wall, but more of a wrecking ball: Donald J. Trump. Continue reading “When An Unstoppable Clown Car Meets The Immutable New World Order”

Trouble in Mischief Reef

One day the great European War will come out of some damned foolish thing in the Balkans.
― Otto von Bismarck in 1888

In 1913, who would have predicted that Sarajevo would be the site where the archduke of an aging empire would be assassinated and precipitate the largest war the world had ever seen?

Will the world’s next great war spring forth from damned foolish things happening in far-flung places such as Mariupol or Mischief Reef? Continue reading “Trouble in Mischief Reef”
